4 Steps before You Order
Not sure how to get started? Read more about what to do before you start the design process.
Step 1: Gather Inspiration
Easy peasy. Start a Pinterest board for design inspirations. Don't limit yourself to existing invites. Pin your fav flowers, colors, wedding elements; anything that speaks to you.
When I was going through wedding prep, I would carry around a large notebook and jot down ideas (that hasn't really changed- I'm still a notebook freak!), paste in photos from ripped up bridal magazines, and stuff in old roommates' invites that were stuck to my fridge. Very old school, I know. If that's your style, roll with it!
Tip: Have all your inspo in one spot so you can easily communicate your ideas to your wedding vendors and us when the time comes.

Step 2: Gather Wedding Info & Wording
What's your wedding date? Your wedding venue address? Your fiancé's middle name? You'll need to know each of these (I mean, obviously you should know your fiancé's full name by now, but you’d be surprised!)
You're gathering pieces to form your invitation wording. We have sample invitation wording on our website, but if you have special wording needs- like multiple languages, unique family dynamics, or additional information, etc. -we can assist you! For right now, you'll just need to have the basic info to start.
Along with that, you'll also need to choose a photo, if you'd like to include one with your invite. We have many couples who choose to design their engagement photos on their wedding invitations (not just their save-the-dates) and there are so many different ways to use your photo! The possibilities are endless! Of course, if you choose not to include a photo, you could easily skip a photo and move to ...

Step 3: Choose Size, Quantity, & Paper Finish
Bust open that sample pack (the one you got from the bridal fair or on our website!) and take a look at the many sizes and paper finishes we offer. Which ones do you gravitate to?
You'll need to know what size you want before getting started. Keep in mind, the more photos you include and the more info you need to tell your guests, the bigger you'll need your invitation to be. You can always use a separate insert card to help with a lot of information. For example, if you need to invite guests to a separate event like a luncheon or sealing ceremony, you can have a small insert card designed for that. We've even seen entirely different receptions as an insert card! Your wedding is as unique as you are, so no one size fits all.
While you have your sample out, be sure to narrow down your paper finish choice. The last thing you'll need to know is how many you'll need to order.
Tip: always overestimate the amount you'll need just to be safe. If you need a few extra, you can use them instead of having to wait and order more.

Step 4: Send it All to Us !
Yay! You made it! Now's when you get to send everything over to us so we can work our magic!
You just need to fill in our order form and we'll get started.
If you're wanting one of our existing designs, just mention the couple's first names and we can get your info into the design. Make sure to upload your photos to the order form. We will be able to assess the photo to make sure no compression happened and our professional opinion on how we think it'll print (too dark, too light, too orange, just right...)
THEN we get started on your custom designed wedding invitation,
You're almost there!
After your invite elements are sent to us, you should receive a design proof within 24-48 hours. You can request changes to sections, colors, placement, wording, etc. Design time is charged by the hour, so the more complex a design or the more revisions that are requested it will end up slightly more. You can keep costs down by having all of your wording ready, and making fewer design changes.
Make sure to look over all wording, names, times, and addresses as you are responsible for the content once approval is given.
After you are sure it's exactly how you want it, just approve to print and sit back and relax! We'll take your design, print it to wedding invitation perfection and deliver it to your doorstep, ready to assemble and send out.
See? Not so bad!
So what are you waiting for?! Let's get started!
